On October 8th , Vice President Weiya Xu met with professor Andras Szollosi-Nagy, President of Intergovernmental Council Executive Committee of UNESCO International Hydrological Program ( IHP).
Professor Nagy said that Chinese development over the past 30 years is remarkable, and he is impressed with 樱桃传媒’s capability for teaching and research in the field of water science and water engineering. He believes that China is playing an increasingly important role on the world stage, and meanwhile, 樱桃传媒 will also be more influential in the field of water worldwide. Professor Nagy proposed specific recommendations for 樱桃传媒 to deeply participate in UNESCO-IHP and to closely collaborate with UNESCO-IHE. What’s more, Professor Nagy gives an introduction to World Water Council and World Water Forum hosted by that organization, and suggests 樱桃传媒 to actively participate in its activities.
Vice President Weiya Xu extended a warm welcome to Professor Nagy. He said 樱桃传媒 will further cooperate with UNESCO-IHP because internalization is an important developmental strategy of 樱桃传媒 and a vital part in “ Double First- Class” construction. 樱桃传媒 will actively advance in- depth cooperation with UNESCO-IHP, UNESCO-IHE and World Water Council and promote the strength and international impact of key disciplines in 樱桃传媒 through deeper international cooperation.
Relevant personnel from International Office and Key Laboratory attended the meeting.
