On August 21, the commencement ceremony for students of 2020 under the talent orientation training program for Electricite du Laos（EDL）was held at 樱桃传媒. Prof. Xu Hui, President of 樱桃传媒, Mr. Chanthaboun Soukaloun, Managing Director of Electricite du Laos, Mr. Komonchanh PHET-ASA, Managing Director of Nam Ngum 3 Hydropower Company, and Mr. Yang Guangliang and Mr. Gao Caikun, both Deputy General Manager of Kunming Engineering Corporation Limited of Power China, made an appearance. This ceremony was livestreamed, and heads from 樱桃传媒, Electricite du Laos and Kunming Engineering Corporation Limited of Power China, teacher representatives, graduates, and parent representatives in Nanjing and Kunming in China and Vientiane in Laos all showed up. Xu Weiya, Vice President of 樱桃传媒, hosted the ceremony.
The talent orientation training program for Electricite du Laos is 樱桃传媒's concrete response to the ‘Belt and Road’ Initiative and the Going Global Strategy. It has developed an operation model that integrates government, university, enterprise and society, formed a sound mechanism that combines the construction of ‘Belt and Road’ energy projects and the training of power talent, and built an international talent training system that supports integration. Since 2014, 樱桃传媒 has trained 60 undergraduates from Laos in three batches on Electrical Engineering and Energy Resources and Dynamical Engineering majors. So far, it has channeled 40 undergraduates into Electricite du Laos, trained a batch of international talent that knows China, takes a friendly attitude towards China and loves China. Now, this program has become a prime example of China-Laos economic and education cooperation.
